Description
We are Bernie and Debbie Antes. Owners of Stony Ridge Farms, a small diversified family farm, growing wholesome fruits and vegetables by natural means, raising grass fed and finished, pasture raised beef, free range NON-GMO chickens for farm fresh eggs and keeping bees for raw and artisan infused honey. We also use what we grow to make wonderfully delicious homemade jams.
Our beef is raised without hormone/steroid enhancers. Minimal antibiotics (only if needed) are used to ensure the health of the animal. "You are what you eat" and so is your beef. Lots of TLC goes into Stony Ridge Farms Grass Fed and Grass Finished Beef. From our farm to your table, care is taken to ensure quality.
We use low stress management practices when handling our cattle. They are raised on pasture 365 days a year, never in a feed lot. Sustainable rotational grazing methods are used here on our farm. This not only creates better beef, but ensures better grasslands and water sources for a healthier environment for all of us. We are registered to sell beef with the state of Kansas. Our beef is taken to a certified, inspected butcher for processing. Beef may be sold by the piece/cut and is also available in larger quantities. Beef may be custom cut to your specific needs. It is available in whole, half or *split-half cross sections, (1/4's and 1/8's). Groups are welcome to purchase a whole or half under a single standard or custom cut list. *Split- half cross sections are not available for custom cut, but by standard cut list only. Pick-up or delivery options available. *a split-half cross section is a half/side equally divided again and contains a selection of all the various cuts, rather than strictly hind or front.
Our chickens are free range and supplemented with a NON-GMO feed. No steroids or growth hormones are given to them. Just happy chickens for tasty farm fresh eggs.
My dad is the bee keeper, raising the bees and harvesting the honey, for local raw and or artisan infused honey.
I enjoy making homemade jams, using fruits from our orchard and from farmer friends that grow fruits we don't!
Our farm goods are available for purchase from our farm store, by appointment (call or text 785-331-5284) or on "OPEN" days. Follow our farm on Facebook or Instagram. I post our open days and times and make a post on what is available each week from the farm. If our family can help feed your family, we'd love to hear from you!
